In situ data are collected by our field support using marine instruments. These data are archived in our in situ archive, SeaBASS, and are made available via Earthdata Search alongside satellite data.
OB.DAAC provides software produced in-house for data analysis and visualization needs as well as ocean color science software for processing. Both are free and open to users.
Besides our data access tools, users are encouraged to leverage unique offerings such as submitting image capture requests, tracking spacecraft over ground locations, as well as tools provided by EOSDIS and DAAC collaborators.
