Hi,
PAR and MLD (8-day composities) used to be available from the DAAC via MODIS.  It looks like these products have been discontinued.

Are these still available?  If not, do you know where they might be obtained?  Maybe Tesla has them?

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

Neither of these products were produced from MODIS data.

The Mixed-layer depth data is a product of the U.S. Navy's Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC).

The PAR is derived from data provided by the GSFC Data Assimilation Office (DAO).

(see http://daac.gsfc.nasa.gov/guides/GSFC-ECS/guide/MYAPWA_tga.gd.shtml)

Depending upon you requirements for PAR, you may be able to use the SeaWiFS PAR product http://daac.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/dataset/SEAWIFS/01_Data_Products/03a_PAR/index.html
or http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/ftp.html

Sean
