What is the difference between the Quick Look products and the Refined products?

QUICK LOOK (Near Real Time Data):
1. MODIS:  NOAA near real time 5 minute granules received within 6 hours of observation
SeaWiFS: GAC/on-board recorded LAC from noon and midnight recorder dumps
2. Processed with best available meteorological and ozone data, which may be either recent, though not coincident, data or climatology
3. MODIS Quick Look products are available on web browser and ftp archive within 6-10 hours of observation, SeaWiFS withing 12-16 hours
4. Occasionally, Quick Look Level 2 products are missing granules that were dropped in the transfer process
5. Quick Look products are replaced on the web and in the ftp archive with the Refined products once they are generated

REFINED:
1. MODIS: NOAA near real time 5 minute granules with any missing granules filled in from GDAAC.
    SeaWiFS: same as Quick Look
2. Processed with optimal definitive attitude and orbit and coincident NCEP meteorological and ozone data, and for MODIS OISST data, once it arrives
3. Refined products available on web browser and ftp archive within 4-5 days of observation
4. Refined products are archived and considered best quality data
