The NASA Ocean Biology Processing Group (OBPG) is pleased to announce the release of MODISL1DB 1.0, a new software package designed specifically for the MODIS Direct Broadcast community.

MODISL1DB is a MODIS Level-1 Direct Broadcast software package capable of processing Aqua and Terra Level 0 data to Level-1A and Level-1B. This software combines the capabilities of the SeaDAS, MCST, and IMAPP MODIS Level-1 processing code. MODISL1DB will be synchronized with the latest code and calibration updates from the MODIS Calibration Support Team (MCST), therefore MODISL1DB-generated Level-1A, Geolocation, and Level-1B data products will be identical to those distributed by NASA standard production facilities.

Source code is not distributed with the MODISL1DB software package. However, the complete source code and build environment for all MODISL1DB binaries is available within the SeaWiFS Data Analysis System (SeaDAS) software package.

Supported platforms:

-RedHat Linux 7.3
-RedHat Linux Fedora Core 2
-Macintosh OS X 10.3 (Panther)
-Sun Solaris 2.8

Please visit the MODISL1DB home page for more information:

-Best regards from the Ocean Biology Processing Group!-
